39개 사립유치원 신청, 6월 중 10개원 선정 예정
서울시교육청(교육감 조희연)은 2019년도 제2기 매입형유치원 공모 신청 접수 결과를 발표했다.
매입형유치원은 사립유치원을 매입하여 공립유치원으로 설립하는 것으로, 사립유치원의 공립전환을 통해 국공립유치원 취원율 40%를 조기달성하고, 교육여건이 취약한 지역의 유아공공성을 강화하기 위한 모델이다.
서울시교육청은 자가소유, 단독건물, 6학급 이상 기 설립·운영 중인 사립유치원을 대상으로 매입형유치원 선정 공모를 실시하였으며, 2019년 5월 31일(금)까지 공모 신청서를 접수한 결과 39개원의 사립유치원이 신청하였다.
교육청에서는 공립유치원이 없는 자치구, 취학수요 대비 공립 유아수용률이 현저하게 부족한 지역, 서민거주 밀집지역 등에서 우선적으로 매입 대상을 선정하고, 응모결과와 예산여건 등을 고려하여 10개원 내외의 유치원을 선정할 계획이다.
사립유치원 매입금액은 감정평가 금액 산술평균값으로 산정되며, 대상 유치원 선정 이후에는 교육부 매입형유치원 선정 자문위원회, 재정투자심사 등을 통과한 후 예산을 편성하고, 사립유치원 폐원 및 매입계약, 공립유치원 설립 등의 행정절차를 진행할 계획이다.
한편, 서울시교육청은 2018년 상반기 전국최초로 공모를 통해 매입형유치원 1개원을 선정한 바 있으며, 금년도 3월 전국 최초 매입형유치원인 ‘서울구암유치원’을 개원 하였으며,
2019년 1월 매입형유치원 공모를 통해 9개원을 선정하여(2019년도 제1기 매입형유치원) 2019년 9월에 4개원, 2020년 3월에 5개원을 공립유치원으로 전환하여 설립할 예정이다.(기존 사립유치원 폐원 후 공립유치원 신설)
아울러, 금회에 10개원이 추가로 선정되어 2020년 3월에 매입형 공립유치원으로 설립될 계획이다.
